Book signing at National Air and Space Museum
FREE opportunity to meet Jennifer Pitt and hear about her historic grandparents, Walter and Olive Ann Pitt who founded Beechcraft. Walter and Olive Ann moved in the same tight-knit aviation circle as Amelia Earhart, Charles Lindbergh, and other early flight legends. United States Presidents, Walt Disney (a personal friend of the Beeches), top military brass, and celebrated figures like Christopher Reeve and Bob Hope all made their way to Wichita to purchase Beechcraft planes directly from the couple. Jennifer Pitt will be set up in the National Air and Space Museum atrium near the shop. She will be signing copies of her grandparents' story, The Barnstormer and The Lady.
