Book Passage Event: An Afternoon with Kathy Fang
The afternoon will feature a live conversation moderated by Emmy Award-winning radio and television personality Liam Mayclem, followed by an audience Q&A, book signing, and time to mingle.
Guests will be able to taste a special bagel created in collaboration between Kathy and Boichik Bagel, inspired by recipes from her new cookbook, along with iconic House of Nanking’s sauce curated by Kathy.
Written by Kathy and her father, Peter Fang, the founder of the legendary San Francisco restaurant, the cookbook honors the restaurant's rich history, shares many of its famous recipes, and lovingly recounts the Fang’s deep-rooted passion for serving authentic Shanghainese home cooking.
