Book and Movie Club with Byrd's Books at Greenwood features
We are really excited to announce our latest Book Group- the Book and Movie Club. Once a month on a Wednesday we will meet at Greenwood Features to have a short discussion of a book, then view the movie and at the end we will vote on which one we thought was better.(You already know my thoughts on the matter...:-)
We will begin with the glorious Downton Abbey: The Grande Finale on Wednesday September 17th. Did you know that it was based on the book, To Marry an English Lord: Tales of Wealth and Marriage, Sex and Snobbery in the Gilded Age?
Here is how it works:
The bookstore will carry the paperback book in advance. It can be purchased below for an online order or call the store at 203-730-2973. Read before the movie date. Anyone who attends the discussion will get a door prize ticket.
Buy your movie ticket from Greenwood Features to the show at 7pm. If you think you are going to attend often, you might want to consider their Loyalty Program.
Arrive at the theater by 6:30pm to have a short discussion of the book before the movie.
The film begins at 7:00pm showing will begin after a short discussion. Then we VOTE on which we liked better.
There will a door prize ticket for each book club attendee- for a chance to win a free book and ticket to the NEXT book club gathering!
