BLK Author Expo will bring together writers, readers, educators, students, editors, and publishers to discuss and promote African American literary contributions. Over 70 featured authors will share their work, discuss their craft, and expose readers of all ages to the great diversity of African American authors in the area.

This free, family-friendly event features storytelling, exhibits, presentations, discussions, giveaways, books, and more! It will include a wonderful marketplace where attendees can meet and buy books directly from their favorite regional authors of color.
With representations from all genres, you will surely find your next favorite book and author among this diverse mixture of talented writers.
Bring your young readers. The event is for children too! The Expo is a wonderful chance to meet talented children's book authors who will also be featured. Your young readers and aspiring writers will be able to explore their latest books, and get an inside look into what inspires them! Kids will also be able to enjoy other activities such as face painting, balloon arts, storytelling, and more...
