About The Links, Incorporated Founded in 1946, The Links, Incorporated is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of women, with over 17,000 members across 299 chapters in the U.S., the Bahamas, and the UK. We focus on service, leadership, and philanthropy in areas such as health, education, and cultural awareness. Our key initiatives include youth empowerment, STEM education, health and wellness, and global outreach. The Links, Incorporated is known for fostering impactful change through friendship and service. Dedicated to enriching and sustaining the culture and economic well-being of African Americans and individuals of African ancestry. The Loudoun County Chapter, established in December 2020, continues this legacy by delivering transformative programs and supporting initiatives that strengthen our community. About the Black Family Wellness Expo This FREE event is dedicated to promoting health and wellness to all members within our community. Attendees will have access to: • Health screenings and consultations with medical professionals • Educational sessions on mental health, wellness, and health equity • Engaging activities for all ages • Giveaways, door prizes, and refreshments • Informative panel sessions on Self-care at All Ages and Law Enforcement in Our Community • Hourly activities like line dancing, chair yoga and healthy food demos The Wellness Expo will offer a comprehensive approach to well-being, covering key aspects such as health, self-care, financial wellness, and mental and emotional well-being. Attendees can enjoy a wide range of activities, including wellness workshops, fitness and line dance instruction, children's programming, and health screenings—all designed to promote a healthier, more resilient community. Services available will include blood pressure checks, diabetes and glaucoma screenings, dental assessments, and guidance on accessing free healthcare. There will also be hands-on demonstrations for teens, emergency preparedness information, and STROKE S.M.A.R.T. education. Additionally, attendees may qualify for valuable giveaways such as blood pressure monitors and weight scales. With over fifty vendors, free food, and engaging activities, there is truly something for everyone. To ensure inclusivity, information will be available in multiple languages. Advanced registration is requested but not required.
