Bestselling Author Elin Hilderbrand to Speak at Free Event

Evansville, Indiana – Elin Hilderbrand, often described as “The Queen of the Beach Read,” will be speaking at a free event and book signing as part of Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library’s SPEAK 2024 series. Hilderbrand will discuss her works on Thursday, May 2 at 7 p.m. in Aiken Theatre, Old National Events Plaza, in downtown Evansville. Hilderbrand has written 33 novels, most of which are bestsellers set in the summertime of Nantucket. She has sold more than 20 million books and is regularly at the top of the New York Times bestseller list. At EVPL, she is among the top five circulating adult authors. Hilderbrand’s final Nantucket-based novel, Swan Song, is set for release this summer. “Elin’s novels are classic vacation reads, and as we approach summer, we want to remind readers of the pleasure of escaping into a great story,” said Erika Qualls Barnett, Programming Manager, EVPL. “SPEAK 2024 is about intentional enjoyment, and our presenters will inspire audiences to embrace recreation as an essential part of life.” Sponsored by the EVPL Foundation, SPEAK events are free and open to all. Additional information about this SPEAK event, upcoming book discussions, and more is available at evpl.org/speak-2024. SPEAK: An Explorative Lecture Series, an evolution of One Book, One Community, is a lecture and discussion series that brings authors and thought leaders to Evansville.
