Benefit art exhibit: 'Returning', Carol Perron Sommerfield

Carol Perron Sommerfield, a Rivertowns representational painter, will be featured in a solo exhibit, “Returning”. All proceeds from sales at the exhibit, which is both at the gallery and online, will benefit nine local organizations that support three key themes: Food, Housing, and Land. The paintings will be available for sale beginning March 18 and can be purchased by contacting the artist or at the opening reception. A free opening reception will be held on Saturday, March 25, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Howard and Ruth Jacobs Gallery, which is located at the Greenburgh Library in Elmsford, NY. Paintings included under the Land category will support Bronx River/Sound Shore Audubon, Healthy Yards/Westchester Pollinators, the Greenburgh Nature Center, the Lake Muskoday Homeowners’ Association, The Friends of Hilltop Hanover Farm and Environmental Center, and the Westchester Land Trust. Proceeds from the paintings in the Food category will fund The Friends of Hilltop Hanover Farm and Environmental Center, and the Dobbs Ferry Food Pantry while the paintings in Housing will support Hearts and Homes for Refugees and The Fuller Center for Housing of Greater New York.
