Below the Belt, Tuesday, March 7th at the Loft Cinema Doors Open at 6:30pm
The highly anticipated PBS documentary, "Below the Belt," will be screening in Tucson on Tuesday, March 7th at The Loft Cinema.
"Below the Belt" is executive produced by Hillary Rodham Clinton, Rosario Dawson, Corinne Foxx and Mae Whitman.
The film follows the personal & inspiring stories of four patients urgently searching for answers to mysterious symptoms and exposes widespread problems in our healthcare systems.
Through the lens of endometriosis, a disease that affects 1 in 9 women, the film shows how women are often dismissed, discounted & disbelieved. From societal taboos and gender bias to misinformed doctors and profit-driven healthcare, the film reveals how millions are effectively silenced and how, by fighting back, they can improve healthcare for everyone.
“This film will save lives,” says People Magazine and actor Jamie Foxx adds “everyone should see this film. You will be blown away by the courage these women possess.”
The screening will be followed by a Talkback/Q&A with several special guests and incredible community partners and artists.
