To celebrate “Read Across America Week,” which kicks off on Thursday, March 2nd, Bell Tower, a landmark shopping, dining and entertainment destination centrally located in Fort Myers, Florida (www.belltowerfl.com), invites the community to the unveiling of the center’s brand-new “Little Free Library” to be permanently installed at the center. The unveiling for the new mini library, located on the south end of the property (near Macintosh Books & Paper), will take place on Thursday, March 2nd, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., and members of the Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce will attend. During the event, in addition to the unveiling, there will also be special family-friendly activities for children. And on Thursday, March 23rd, during the center’s monthly Family Fun Night (from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.), Bell Tower will hold a book drive where the community can donate child-appropriate books to fill the Little Free Library. Books to be donated can be dropped off at Center Court in front of the DJ booth; any excess books collected will be donated to the local schools in need. The new mini library is part of the Little Free Library project, a program that envisions a Little Free Library in every community and a book for every reader. Each Little Free Library book-sharing box plays an important role in providing children with easy access to beloved books to encourage a lifelong love of reading. The unveiling event at Bell Tower is free and open to the public; no pre-registration is required. For more information, visit https://www.belltowerfl.com/events/.
