Beethoven’s Inadvertent Masterpiece
Our opening concert features Beethoven’s grand Septet and this is preceded by two French works of Milhaud and Saint-Saëns. Elizabeth Raum is an Eastman-trained oboist and we are excited to feature one of her beautiful works for the first time on an SCMR concert. A one-time collaboration with Juliana Athayde, violin; Chiao-Wen Cheng, piano; Michael Wayne, clarinet; Matthew McDonald, bassoon; Michael Stevens, horn; Joshua Newburger, voila; Lars Kirvan, cello; and Daniel Morehead, double bass.
