The Seton Hall University School of Law Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) Investor Advocacy Project (“IAP”) is one of 10 securities arbitration clinics throughout the United States. The FINRA IAP program at Seton Hall is a pro bono program, which provides free legal representation to New Jersey residents of modest means with securities fraud claims.
In addition to providing free legal representation, the FINRA IAP program also conducts educational programs on financial literacy and informed investing throughout New Jersey. This presentation will cover the challenges facing every investor, tips on avoiding investment pitfalls, the questions investors should ask when choosing an investment product, and tips on applying for and maintaining credit cards.
Colin Dennis is a third-year law student at the Seton Hall University School of Law and a member of the FINRA IAP program. Colin received his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Salisbury University.
