Battle of the Branches 5K Run/Walk
The event honors the brave men and women who have served our country and aims to raise money and awareness about the 22 Veterans who tragically take their own lives every day in the United States.
The event promises a friendly rivalry as all branches of the military – Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force – compete for bragging rights by registering the most participants from their branches. But it's not just about the run; it's about community, awareness, and support.
It is estimated that at least one in five Veterans and service members will struggle with substance abuse, relationship issues, stress, hopelessness, and even thoughts of suicide. It is reported that 22 Veterans per day complete suicide, which is substantially higher in comparison to the general population. As part of the Rally Point Arizona Navigator program, the goal is to reduce those numbers.
Rally Point Navigators provide the needed guidance, access to resources, and peer support necessary to ensure those who have served us know they are not alone. While services provided are free to Veterans, military members, and their families, financial support through fundraisers, donations, and sponsorships is needed to support the Rally Point Arizona Navigator program and any veteran-specific services. Join us for a day of unity, featuring Veteran information booths. The Battle of the Branches event is family-friendly, and all are invited to participate. Military experience is not required to participate. Proceeds from the event will help fund our Veteran-specific services, including Navigation, Peer Support, Advocacy, and education.
