BasBlue, in partnership with the Michigan Science Center, invites youth ages 7–16 and their families to Girls Day: Future Entrepreneurs & STEAM Innovators, a hands-on experience introducing young learners—especially girls—to the exciting connection between entrepreneurship and STEAM.
Through interactive activities, demonstrations, and conversations with women entrepreneurs and innovators, participants will discover how creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving can spark innovation, solve real-world challenges, and turn ideas into impact.
WHAT: Girls Day: Future Entrepreneurs & STEAM Innovators
An interactive family experience introducing youth to entrepreneurship and STEAM through hands-on learning, demonstrations, and conversations with women founders and innovators.
WHEN: Sunday, June 24, 2026 from 11:00am - 2:00pm
WHERE: BasBlue - 110 E. Ferry Street, Detroit, MI 48202
WHY: Research shows that early exposure to both STEAM and entrepreneurship can significantly shape a young person's confidence, interests, and future career aspirations. Hands-on learning experiences help youth develop critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and innovation skills, while exposure to entrepreneurship teaches them how to identify opportunities, create solutions, and bring ideas to life.
