Baptist Health Sciences University Cancer Awareness Day on November 7
BHSU invites the community to raise awareness against all cancers and learn the importance of early detection. Baptist Cancer Center will provide free lung cancer screenings to acknowledge National Lung Cancer Awareness Month, and the Baptist Mobile Mammography Unit will provide mammograms. Women can call 901-227-PINK or visit baptistpink.org to schedule a mobile mammogram appointment. The family-friendly event will include games, crafts, prizes, a blood drive, and community resources. The Shelby County Health Department will provide information about free and low-cost cancer-related services. Baptist team members will be on-site to schedule other screenings as needed in observance of National Cancer Awareness Day.
