Bakersfield Brings the Party to Detroit for Cinco de Mayo
Come for the tacos, stay for the party: complete with a live DJ, drink specials, and the chance to win free food and drinks for an entire year.
Cinco de Mayo at Bakersfield — Tuesday, May 5
This year, Cinco de Mayo lands on a Taco Tuesday — and at Bakersfield, that’s basically a holiday in itself. The Detroit location (3100 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48201) will be open from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM, giving guests all day and well into the night to celebrate in style.
Specials for the day include:
$4 tacos (Taco Tuesday pricing, all day)
$5 shots of the day
$10 pours of Don Julio 1942
Locations with patios will feature a live DJ, and guests can enter to win "Free Bakersfield for a Year" — a $50 monthly gift card credit reloaded automatically for 12 months. Additional gift card prizes will also be available.
How to Enter the Giveaways
Guests can pick up an entry card at the restaurant and fill in their name, email and Instagram handle, then drop it in the entry bucket. Winners will be drawn randomly and announced on social media the following day. For the "Free for a Year" prizes, the $50 monthly credit will be loaded onto a single physical gift card on the first of each month. Balances expire at month's end and do not roll over.
“Cinco de Mayo on a Taco Tuesday is basically a holiday for us,” said John Lanni, co-founder of Thunderdome Restaurant Group. “Bakersfield was built for a night like this. We want guests to come in, celebrate, and make it a Cinco de Mayo to remember.”
