Backyard Barbecue & Urban Ag Crawl
The 3rd Annual Chicago Urban Ag Crawl & Backyard BBQ is an exciting multi-stop event across Greater Englewood featuring local chef samples, delicious food, drinks, live music, urban farm and garden Trolley Tours, garden activities, raffles, games, paddle raise, shopping and more! Event proceeds benefit Growing Home, Grow Greater Englewood, Urban Growers Collective and local urban farmers and gardeners.
Growing Home's Backyard BBQ
Held on Growing Home's own urban farm, the Backyard BBQ starts at 2:00 pm and features chef-prepared farm-to-table dishes, local drinks, music, farm tours, raffle,paddle raise and more!
Farm Site Trolley Tours
Three different urban farm and garden Trolley Tours leave Growing Home at 3:00 pm and travel across Englewood, Auburn Gresham and Back of the Yards with a first stop at Urban Growers Collective's Green Era Campus & Digester, multiple stops at featured farm sites, and a final stop at the Englewood Village Plaza for the Night Bazaar. Hop on your Trolley Tour or bike/drive yourself!
Grow Greater Englewood's Night Bazaar
The final event of the Ag Crawl is GGE's Night Bazaar, hosted at the newly redesigned Englwood Village Plaza, starting at 6 pm. The Night Bazaar features small bites from local chefs and caterers, live music, and shopping at a "mini" version of the Englewood Village Market with fresh produce and retail goods from local farms and Black owned businesses.
TICKETS & PRICING
*The first 60 people who purchase all-inclusive tickets have a guaranteed spot on the trolley. As of 8/28/2024 we are at capacity for trolley guests. Farm & Garden Sites are still available for guests to tour independently all day.*
Regular priced all-inclusive tickets ($100) will be available until the day of the event. A $25 all-inclusive community ticket is also available to Greater Englewood and Auburn Gresham residents and businesses until the day of the event. Limit 4 tickets per person please.
