Back to School Book Talk by Claire Machosky, Educator & Author
This is a "Meet the Author" event! Claire will talk about finding her "ah ha" moment, learning about self-efficacy and its positive impact on her career in education. A career that included classroom teacher, coordinator of Gifted and Talented instruction, school administrator, educational consultant to the New York State Department of Education, Staff Developer, Phi Delta Kappa PDK Scholarship recipient, and PDK Educators Rising National Conference Judge and Presenter and a Teaching with Primary Sources Coach for the Library of Congress. She will discuss the importance of all students learning how to study effectively and efficiently. Claire will explain her motivation for writing A PATH TO LITERACY AND LEARNING and explain how its design will give all students, yes, even college students, parents, and life-long learners insights and skills for organizing materials, time-management, active listening and more. Claire will share successful teaching and learning strategies that she used when working with individual students, in her classroom and in her teacher workshops! It will be an interactive session where questions are welcome, and information will be shared. This book signing event is open to all and is a great opportunity to make the 2024-2025 School Year, a total success.
