Have you, your friends, or your family ever been impacted by someone with the BIG C? I have, which is the reason I have chosen to set up the raffle basket idea with this event. My childhood best friend has been fighting stage four breast & brain cancer for many years. I have seen her daily struggles to feel like she was "pretty" after she lost her hair. One of the recipients is a group of amazing sewing humans who donated knitted hats to cancer patients. I would love to share the love with them and donate a portion of the proceeds to them for not just their time and materials but for the compassion they have for these patients.
The second recipient of the proceeds will be an amazing group serving children diagnosed, treated, or living in Iowa and their families. This amazing organization offers many opportunities to these children and families; camps, kids clubs, kids drop off, comfort connection, and many more opportunities for these families. Let's give something back to these amazing folks who take the time to love our littles and their families as they fight a tough fight.
