Come hear the author of "Land Rich, Cash Poor: My Family's Hope and the Untold History of the Disappearing American Farmer" talk about how our vanishing farms affect our food supply, economy, environment, and more. This book has been getting national attention from the Associated Press, C-SPAN, and other national outlets, but is written by a local author and farm boy, Brian Reisinger of Moraga. "Land Rich, Cash Poor" reveals the roots of this crisis, weaving hidden eras of history with the four-generation fight for survival of the author's family on the small Midwestern farm where he grew up. The author will take Q&A, read short excerpts, and sign books afterward. Anyone who cares about where their food comes from should attend this event! 7 pm Oct. 8 at Towne Center Books, 555 Main Street, Pleasanton.
