Local Artists Invite Community to Open Studio Weekend in Doylestown for a Weekend of Art and Craftsmanship Doylestown artists David Cloud and Barbara Backman are inviting the community to step inside their creative world during a special Artist Studio Open House on November 8 and 9, from 1–5 PM each day, at Thornbury Wood, 3679 Old Easton Road, Doylestown, PA. The event offers a rare chance for visitors to see how fine art and fine woodworking come together under one roof. David Cloud, owner of Thornbury Wood (www.Thornburywood.com), is an accomplished master wood craftsman whose work includes custom furniture and home accents designed to be both functional and beautiful. Guests will have the opportunity to see his fully equipped workshop and learn more about his process of transforming raw materials into works of timeless design. Sharing the studio is Barbara Backman (www.BBackmanART.com ), an award-winning fine artist celebrated for her luminous soft pastel and acrylic paintings. Backman’s work captures the subtle interplay of light and atmosphere, and her pieces are collected regionally and nationally.
