Art of the Piano - episode 4: Eric Verlinde Trio
Eric Verlinde has excited audiences worldwide with his energetic and passionate performances. Currently, he plays three nights a week at El Gaucho in Bellevue and hosts the Tuesday night jam at the Owl n' Thitsle.
Eric has made music and recorded with with local jazz icons like Hadley Caliman, Josephine Howell, Floyd Standifer, Buddy Cattlet, Bobby Medina and Thomas Marriott. He also got to play and record music with Paul Allen and go on an African Safari. He's played for Teatro Zinzanni.
He has played music with international stars too. Legends like: Arturo Sandoval, Randy Brecker, Wynton Marsalis, Lee Oskar, Eric Alexander, Terell Stafford, Mark Murphy, Luis Conte, Thelma Huston, Bryan Lynch, Francine Reed, Bill Waltrous, Matt Wilson, Jeff Clayton, John Clayton, and Cheryll Bentyne.
He's recorded three albums of original music; Crazy, Lazy Day, Daily Grind and Firewaker. He played on Hadley Caliman's album: Straight Ahead that hit the national jazz charts at #2 in radio play. Recent recordings include: Between Worlds in Buenos Aries with Bobby Medina, two albums with EntreMundos Quarteto and two albums with LaVon Hardison.
