About the Event
Develop skills in making a Handmade Silver Gemstone Pendant from scratch. This introductory class is perfect for anyone who wants to learn or refresh the fundamental skills involved in making jewelry and metalsmithing. From beginner to advanced, you will grow knowledge and develop skills and before long you will be creating one-of-a-kind Art Jewelry. We will be working in Sterling Silver and each student will be guided through the step-by-step process of making a Pendant. Skills covered will include sawing, shaping, filing, hammered textures, soldering with a gas fueled torch, and bezel setting a Cabochon stone. This exciting interactive class includes many demonstrations and lots of hands-on work, but you will be taking home a finished handmade Pendant. Tools will be provided for use in class. Additional metal, stones and tool kits are available for purchase after the class. **Materials Fee: Most materials are included in the class fee below. Additional class material fee of $25+ will apply dependent on current metal prices and your choice in cabochon stone.**\* 4 1/2 hour class ( bring water and a snack) \*This workshop is appropriate for ages 16+ *Wear hair up, old clothing or apron over clothing.* Safety Waiver required to sign by Mandalynn Jewelry Designs
