Art in the Burbs

Supporting student artist and local artists - that’s the goal of Art in the Burbs, a popular community fundraising event produced by The Foundation for Tigard Tualatin Schools. The 2-day art show and sale showcases 95 regional artists’ unique work for sale, with 20% of sales donated to the Art in the Burbs Grant program. Jewelers, painters, photographers, woodworkers, ceramic artists, textile artists, soap makers and many more will be helping the arts thrive in the district schools of the Tualatin and Tigard area. Customers and artists have helped start an elementary marimba program, a middle school ukulele class and a high school photography program! And provided new lighting and microphones for drama and music programs. Art and ceramic supplies are plentiful because of the patrons, artists and sponsors of Art in the Burbs. Numerous cultural performances brought to the schools were made possible by the 2-day show. Art in the Burbs is the best show to jump-start your gift shopping! For your friends & family…and yourself.
