Free event (donations are welcomed). Open to the public. Recommended for ages 5 and up and their caregiver. Arrive any time between noon and 2 pm—but be sure to give yourself time for art making! Registration required.
Design your own t-shirt with fabric markers or make your own zine! While you’re at Saint Louis Sudbury School for the art activities, explore our school’s space, meet Sudbury staff, students, volunteers, and parents. Snacks provided. This event is designed for families who are interested in applying to our school in the future.
Please register the number of people who will participate in the art activities. If you would like to design a shirt, please respond to the shirt question on the order form or email [email protected] by March 13 with shirt size and quantity information. We will do our best to accommodate sizes.
Our school is based on the principle that we are born curious and learn best when we initiate our own learning. We offer fully Self-Directed Education for students age 5-18. Saint Louis Sudbury School students learn what they want, when they want, with whom they want, for as long as they want, to the depth of their interests, in the way that best suits them. With no coercive curriculum, homework, grades, or tests, Sudbury students have the freedom, space, and time to pursue their interests, discover who they are, and develop meaningful communication skills. All of this freedom to learn and to be is bounded by a democratically run structure where youth and adults have equal say in how the school is run.
At Saint Louis Sudbury School, we prioritize young people’s well being, happiness, and ability to adapt to a changing world. We accept new enrollments year round.
We are located on the second floor inside Intersect Arts Center.
