Join Smyrna author Shalanda Thompson for a free community celebration marking the release of her memoir, Around the River Bend: A Memoir of Love While Locked Up. Guests can meet the author, hear the story behind the memoir during an author interview and Q&A, purchase signed copies, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and music, take photos, and celebrate this special milestone.
The memoir explores love, resilience, sacrifice and second chances while shining a light on the often-overlooked impact incarceration can have on families and loved ones outside the prison walls.
Admission is FREE. Adult guests only; please no children. Space is limited, and registration is requested by October 23.
