Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra Family Concert: "The Many Emotions of Music"

The Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra, led by music director Orlando Cela, will present its Family Concert titled “The Many Emotions of Music”, on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 630 Mass. Ave, Arlington, MA. Bring the whole family to learn about how the instruments and the music can create different feelings, and have fun with musical Mad Libs! The program will include Nathaniel Stookey’s setting of Lemony Snicket’s whodunnit, The Composer is Dead; Alwynne Pritchard’s World Enough; and Camille Saint-Saens’ Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso, featuring violinist Ayaan Ahmad, the winner of the Wood Prize in the 2022 Young Artist Competition. Tickets will be available at the door: $2 per person, or $5 per family. Masks are required for ages 4 and up. This venue is wheelchair accessible. The Philharmonic Society of Arlington, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit community organization incorporating The Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra, The Arlington-Belmont Chorale, and The Arlington-Belmont Chamber Chorus.
