Argenta Dogtown Throwdown

Main Street in Argenta will be closed from 4th to 5th St. starting at 4 pm Friday to 10 pm Saturday. October’s event is all about celebrating the dogs of Argenta with a weekend of pet-friendly activities, local specials, live music and fall fun throughout the district. Saturday’s festivities begin with the annual Blessing of the Animals by Argenta United Methodist Church from 12–1 pm at the Argenta Library. Bring your pup to take part in this beloved Argenta tradition. Throughout the day, enjoy lawn games and “Sparkling Saturday” champagne and mimosa specials, then stop by 4th St. from 4:30–7 pm to meet adoptable pets at the NLR Animal Shelter Mobile Adoption Unit. At 6 pm, don’t miss the Dogtown Catwalk Fashion Show, featuring Argenta neighbors and their dogs strutting their stuff on 4th St. It’s a fun celebration of the dogs who are part of our community and the people who love them. The evening continues with live music at 7 pm, giving you plenty of time to grab a bite, enjoy a drink and explore Argenta with your favorite four-legged companion. Friday’s festivities include a Happy Hour Kickoff at 4 pm, an Argenta Mural Tour at 6 pm and live music from Rob & Tyndall – Mojo Duo at 7 pm. Bring your pup, grab a seat on a dog-friendly patio and enjoy all the fun, while supporting the local restaurants that make Argenta such a great place to gather!
