Appalachian Equality Chorus presents "EveryBODY!"
A coalition of composers and lyricists has created a powerful musical experience that promotes body positivity and body ownership for all. Be a part of this free world-premiere concert at First United Methodist Church located at 1350 Oak Ridge Turnpike. The AEC, founded in 2012 as the Knoxville Gay Men's Chorus, envisions a world free of discrimination in which all people are empowered to live authentic lives true to their identities without fear. They use their voices, strengths, and individual gifts to create enriching musical experiences; promote inclusion, equality, and empathy; and improve the world through community partnerships. Since its founding in 2012, the AEC now boasts a Tenor and Bass choir for men, a Soprano and Alto choir for women, and members across East Tennessee and even into Southwest Virginia.
