Annie Bacon is a writer and songwriter living in Ann Arbor, Michigan (via Maine and San Francisco). With her OSHEN she merges a literary writing style and folk-rock Americana sound to create rich and emotionally complex music. Bacon emerged from a loss-filled five years with 2024's Storm, praised as "a landmark release" (Glide), "mature and sophisticated songwriting" (AmericanaUK), and "brilliant nostalgic elegance" (The Wild Is Calling). She also composed a folk opera, co-created a full-length musical, and is working on a novel on themes of motherhood & war. She is also the former head of the Nashville Songwriter's Association's - San Francisco & Southeast Michigan chapters. www.anniebacon.me www.instagram.com/theanniebacon www.youtube.com/theanniebacon www.facebook.com/theanniebacon https://anniebaconandheroshen.bandcamp.com Gabriel Goldstein, a modern-day troubadour native to Charlottesville Virginia, has worked as a house painter, cook, bartender, server, dockworker at a lobsterman’s co-op, shepherd, video editor and camera operator. Yet whatever his day/night job, and wherever on earth it finds him, he is writing songs. For Sir Dude Man & the Wandering Blues, the long-awaited follow up to 2011's Sad Stories & Cautionary Tales, Goldstein called upon trusted friends and collaborators, including former bandmates from San Francisco nautical-rock band Sweet Crude Bill (some of whom will be performing with Goldstein at this Lost Church show), to create a whimsical and evocative musical mosaic. His sui generis songs mix elements of folk, country, blues, indie rock and psychedelia to create a musical voice uniquely his own and paint vivid pictures of our crazy, mixed-up, heartbreaking, beautiful world. www.instagram.com/manjomang https://gabrielgoldstein.bandcamp.com Recommended If You Like: Lucinda Williams, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Waits, Townes Van Zandt
