An Afternoon of Classical Guitar with Allen Krantz in Concert at Laurel Hill Mansion

Women for Greater Philadelphia (WFGP) presents the final performance of this year’s summer concert series at the historic Laurel Hill Mansion, featuring renowned composer, guitarist, and educator Allen Krantz. Known for his exceptional artistry and dedication to chamber music, Krantz has composed an extensive body of works, many of which feature the classical guitar.

A graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory and Stanford University, Krantz is recognized nationally as both a solo guitarist and composer. His performances often combine original compositions with selections from the classical repertoire. He has performed at major venues across the United States including Carnegie Hall, The Phillips Collection, and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

For his performance at Laurel Hill Mansion, audiences will enjoy timeless works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Mauro Giuliani, and Isaac Albéniz. Following the concert, guests are invited to a reception with light refreshments and the opportunity to meet the artist in the beautifully preserved 18th-century Laurel Hill Mansion overlooking the Schuylkill River.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early to explore “Timeline,” an outdoor sculpture exhibit on the mansion grounds, on view through October 17, 2025.
