American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Fundraiser Comedy Show w/ Shawn Boyd
Krackpots Comedy Club conveniently located at 14 Lincoln Way W. Massillon, Oh 44647 is thrilled to announce an evening of comedy with Shawn Boyd.
We strongly encourage you purchase your tickets in advance because this is certain to be a sell out performance. Tickets are available on a first serve basis. Tickets are general admission with a limited number of VIP/FRONT ROW SEATING.
We are hoping you will help because Suicide is a public health problem and leading cause of death in the United States. Suicide can also be prevented - more investment in suicide prevention, education, and research will prevent the untimely deaths of thousands of Americans each year.
The facts: Each year over 45,000 people lose the battle and succumb to a death that could have been prevented. Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for ages 10-19, the 2nd leading cause of death for ages 20-34, the 4th leading cause of death for ages 35-44, and over one third of people who died by suicide were 55 or older. 90% of those who died by suicide had a diagnosable mental health condition at the time of their death an Males are almost 4 times more likely to commit suicide than females.
HEADLINER, Shawn Boyd is known as the Untypical Black Guy because of the diversity he brings to the show. He talks about what people (All Ethnicities) can relate to, from raising a child by himself to what the world has shown him in his years on this crazy earth. Shawn has opened up for comedians such as Tammi Pascetelli, Dustin Diamond, TJ Miller, Don Jamison, Doug Stanhope, Thea Vidall, TK Kirkland, Michael Blackson, Louie Anderson, Kyle Cease, and many more! Shawn is a crowd favorite wherever he performs and always leaves the crowd wanting more. He has been all over the nation in his 12yrs of comedy from L.A. to Atlanta and the backwoods of WV.
