A prolific composer, Handel is known for both his choral and orchestral works. The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba and anthems written for the coronation of King George II are programmed. Dixit Dominus, a setting of Psalm 110 composed for five-part chorus and orchestra is a featured work in the concert. And, orchestral compositions include selections from Water Music, commissioned by the King for a royal party on the River Thames.
