Amelia Hogan with the Flight Crew
Amelia is an impeccably authentic singer of Celtic music and her heart comes through in honeyed tones on Irish, Scottish, British, and American styled vocals. She sings in the Irish music tradition of Sean-Nós, or “old style” as well as accompanied. Amelia also plays bodhran and a small 22 string Welsh lap harp. She sings both traditional and contemporary folk music with lilting graces and sublety, weaving a mysterious old magic that takes the listener out of time and place.
Amelia will be joined by The Flight Crew consisting of Christa Burch (harmony vocals and bodhran), Jimmy Murphy (harmony vocals and guitar) and Skyler Blakeslee (harmony vocals, flute, whistles, harmonica and small pipes).
The concert will be Jan 10 at 7:30 PM at Knox Presbyterian Church. Advance tickets, including fees, are available on Eventbrite: $33.85 for Adults and $12.51 for Caltech Students and Youth through High School.
Tickets will be sold at the door – cash or check only. Adults will be $35 and Caltech students or Youth tickets $10, both with no handling fee. Our box office will open at 6:45 PM. However, entrance to the auditorium will depend on when the sound check is completed, which varies from concert to concert.
