Amadeus Strings
The vast contrast of colors available to the string orchestra range from the ethereal in Vivaldi's sinfonia "Al santo sepolcro" to the lush Samuel Barber-esque emotion of George Walker's Lyric. The sparkle of Mendelssohn's quasi-Baroque String Symphony No. 7 (composed when he was just twelve!) and the soaring melodies of Max Bruch's Octet round out the final concert of the 2023-2024 Amadeus Concerts season.

Tickets are $45 and may be purchased at the door, online at http://www.amadeusconcerts.com or via telephone at (703) 759-5334. Students 17 and under and active military are admitted free of charge. There is ample free parking.
A pre-concert lecture by Music Director A. Scott Wood will begin at 3:15 pm, 45 minutes prior to the start of the concert.
A reception, with refreshments, will follow the concert, at which attendees may meet and chat with the performers and fellow music lovers.
