All Paws On Deck
The perfect after-work, feel-good pick-me-up? The Chicago Boat Company is bringing back its annual summertime adoption event, “All Paws on Deck”, for a second year, inviting Chicagoans to unwind with an evening of river cruising, belly rubs, artisan gelato and a chance to meet their newest four-legged family member.
On Thursday, Aug. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rockwell on the River, the tree-lined Avondale destination will transform into a doggie wonderland in partnership with Chicago Canine Rescue. Guests can meet adoptable dogs while enjoying a complimentary cruise aboard one of Chicago Boat Company's all-electric Luxury Duffy boats. After their time on the water, attendees who find the perfect match will have the opportunity to complete an adoption and commemorate the moment with a celebratory riverside photo.
Adding extra sweetness to the evening, Rockwell on the River newest addition, Dolce Arte, will be serving its authentic Italian gelato, pastries, and dog-approved pup cups.
