AHA! Night: Summer in the Seaport
AHA! Night: SUMMER IN THE SEAPORT is happening in downtown New Bedford on Thursday, August 14th. This month's AHA! Night sponsored by Taunton Federal Credit Union. Expect arts, crafts, demonstrations,, including:
- Galley X will host a powerful evening of poetry, storytelling, and remembrance honoring the life and legacy of Everett Hoagland, New Bedford’s first Poet Laureate.
- Puzzical Chairs & Pops will take over lower Union Street outside The Drawing Room with their special blend of puzzles, musical chairs, live music by Skyjelly, and free Sorbae Frozen Treats for the first 100 puzzlers.
- The Fishing Heritage Center will host Scallopalooza complete with scallop shucking contest.
- Rock out to Lively Up performing from 6-8:00 PM in Custom House Square courtesy of the Whaling History Alliance's summer concert series.
- Plus, there will be lawn games, art demonstrations, arts & crafts, and so much more.
- Explore the shops & galleries open late and make an evening of it by enjoying a bite at one of our local restaurants!
