Afternoon Tea with Jane Addams
Jane Addams (1860-1935) was a crusader for social justice, a Chicagoan who devoted her life to caring for the underprivileged and oppressed and to fighting for the rights of workers, women and children. In 1889 she established Hull House in Chicago, which became one of the most famous settlement houses in America. Addams is considered a pioneer in the field of modern social work, and in 1931 she was co-winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Learn more about her accomplishments in this living history portrayal.
