Afghan Immigrants in St. Louis - Gateway to a New Life Documentary Screening and Discussion
The documentary Gateway to a New Life (54 minutes) will be screened followed by a panel discussion with the film’s director, Afghan immigrants and representatives of organizations that assist newly arrived immigrants. The event is free and open to the community. The documentary follows immigrants from Afghanistan who worked for the U.S. military during wartime as they find a warm welcome in an unlikely place: St. Louis, MO
