Want to go on adventure without leaving your seat?
Come to the Wednesday, March 1 free concert presented by the Scottsdale Concert Band at 7:30 p.m. in the Scottsdale Community College Amphitheater.
The band, Scottsdale’s own award-winning community band, will perform a concert titled “Adventure Awaits.” You’ll go from Arizona (‘Grand Canyon Fanfare”) to Central America (“The Pathfinder of Panama” march) to outer space (“Star Wars: The Force Awakens”).
Also on the program will be “Danse Diabolique,” “Perthshire Majesty,” “Wedding Dance” and more.
The Scottsdale Concert Band, now in its 45th season, is the winner of a Sudler Silver Scroll, which is presented by the John Philip Sousa Foundation and is the most prestigious award available to a community concert band.
