Learn to construct and solder glass to create your own stained-glass piece with help from artist, Laura Waligorski of the Glass Garden Club. In this hands-on workshop, compile pre-cut pieces of glass to copper foil together, then learn to solder it all and bring the fungi to life. At the end of the workshop, take home your handmade magical glass piece! This program is geared towards adults and teens age 13 and up. This program will take place indoors in an ADA accessible building. All children must be accompanied by an adult. All supplies are provided. There is a minimal risk of a cut or scrape due to working with glass. Please be advised the solder tools operate at high temperatures and must be handled with caution. About the Instructor: Laura Waligorski, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, is an artist who works predominantly with stained glass using the copper foil technique. Her art incorporates elements of nature, specifically plants and flowers. Her love for stained glass is evident in every piece she creates, as she strives to capture the intricate details and textures found in nature. Her passion for stained glass was ignited when she discovered it through online platforms, specifically through YouTube. From this experience, she has designed unique workshops that introduce others to the beauty of this medium.
