Actor Kevin Costner Accepting the Wild Spirit Award at Scottsdale's Museum of the West Gala

On Friday, February 28, 2024, Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West will be continuing its 10th Anniversary celebrations by hosting the Western Spirit Gala, where they – along with the City of Scottsdale – will be presenting Actor Kevin Costner with the inaugural Western Spirit Award. Costner fans and well-wishers are encouraged to secure their tickets quickly due to a limited availability. “This award – an iconic lifetime achievement of western storytelling – celebrates those who embody and pass on the stories of the Western spirit community,” said Todd Bankofier, CEO of Western Spirit. “Kevin Costner epitomizes the exemplary passion for the West in all its glory and uniqueness, and we look forward to honoring Kevin and his experiences in sharing the true stories of the settlers of the region.” The internationally acclaimed actor, writer, producer, director, community activist and philanthropist, Kevin Costner, will attend the February 28th gala to receive the award and he’ll also be hosting a VIP “Meet and Greet” for sponsors. There will be a moderated Q&A as part of the evening’s events, in addition to a silent and live auction for guests to enjoy in support of the museum and its mission to preserve the rich history of the West.
