ACE - Intro to Gelli Plate Printing (incl paper & stencils)
You will learn the basics of using a “Gelli” plate to create amazing, one-of-a-kind papers. These papers lend themselves beautifully to many purposes: as stand-alone pieces of artwork, collage papers, used in bookmaking as well as card making. The possibilities are endless. Prints can be made on most any type of paper, such as rice paper, mixed media, watercolor, book pages, junk mail, and so on. You will learn just how many things you can recycle in doing this artwork. You will never look at paper the same way. You will want to create so many different papers that you will want to make yourself a book or journal from the pages you create (advanced class coming). The instructor will discuss and demonstrate a variety of techniques.
