ACE – Chess: The Game of Kings and Queens
Learn the game of kings and queens and everyone else. Chess is a fun and addictive hobby. It is enjoyed by every culture and was the centerpiece of the Netflix series, 'The Queens Gambit'. Whether you want to play a game in minutes or months there are opponents available on the internet all the time or at local clubs. The recent world championship match featured Magnus Carlsen of Norway vs. Fabiano Caruana of Florida! You will learn the fundamentals of chess strategy and tactics. We will review the basics of opening play and enjoy the excitement of brilliant combinations. Eventually, you will create your own clever games and the delight of saying CHECKMATE! Please bring a chess set if you own one.
