Acclaimed Troubadour Ellis Paul, in Concert
For three decades and in twenty albums, Ellis Paul has been "one of the defining voices of American songwriting" (Direct Current). He is a regular at the Newport Folk Festival, has played at Carnegie Hall, has won 15 Boston Music Awards, and has appeared on the soundtracks of films including "Shallow Hal" and "Me, Myself, and Irene." His 22nd and latest album, “55,” takes the temperature of a divided and weary post-COVID America.
Ellis Paul is also an author of children’s books, most recently “The Hero In You,” featuring songs about 14 American heroes including Rosa Parks, Rachel Carson, and Woody Guthrie. His books will be available at this event.
Most of all, though, Ellis is a moving and entertaining performer, using his supple tenor voice and creative guitar tunings to support his appealing and gorgeous story-songs. We are looking forward to a warm-hearted gathering.
