A Vietnam Retrospective–from a New Perspective
What does Vietnam mean to you? With the end of the war nearly fifty years in our past, it may be time again to revisit what the Vietnam Era means, what echoes it has left in our world. Though author Kat Fitzpatrick does not profess to have the answers, she is hoping to spark some new conversations--ones that may lead to new understandings. On the 26th, she will read about how life was for her family in Saigon in October 1974. There will be time after this short reading for discussions and Q&A about her family’s time there and about how her father rescued of 1,000 South Vietnamese who would have otherwise been left to face the communist regime.
