Join us as we welcome food historians, Clarissa Lynch and Chef Cheryl Henry, to the Polk Kitchen House. They will lead a discussion of foodways from the Caribbean to the Americas that were prepared in the 18th and early 19th centuries by enslaved people for their families. Clarissa and Cheryl will also share open hearth cooking techniques through hands on participation. Although sampling is prohibited, the experience and smells will be plentiful. This class will be limited to eight (8) participants and the minimum age to participate will be 18 years old. Tickets are a suggested $20 donation on the day of the event. This event will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2024, 9:30am-2pm.
