Centered on the uplifting theme of Hope, Healing & Triumph, this signature production brings together nationally acclaimed artists and beloved local voices for an extraordinary live experience celebrating creativity, resilience, connection, and the transformative power of artistic expression.
Through spoken word, live music, vocal performance, dance, visual art, and storytelling, A Night of Artistic Renewal explores the many ways creativity can inspire hope, create space for healing, and remind us of our shared capacity to triumph.
The cast features Emmy Award winner Boris “Bluz” Rogers, four time World Poetry Slam Champion Ed Mabrey, and Charlotte’s Inaugural Poet Laureate Junious “Jay” Ward, alongside saxophonist Bryan Patterson Jr.; violinist Marcus R. Pyle; recording artists Adayla Turner, Enacense, and Mason “Quill” Parker; visual artists Julianna O’Malley and Tajmah Allison; ballroom dancers Robert Fitzgerald and Takeila Fox; and Raven Barkley and Maurice Mouzon, appearing through the courtesy of Charlotte Ballet.
The production also welcomes a dynamic company of performance poets bringing distinct voices and stories of resilience, reflection, joy, and lived experience to the stage. Featured performance poets include DS Will, Jaycee Cowan, Keith Allison, Linda Orji, Lisa Ann Markuson, host Dionne Hunter, and co host Laheelah Hunter.
