A Night in Venice: Tormenta D'Amore Baroque Ensemble
The Erwin H Johnson Memorial Fund for Opera, Inc. invites you to come Celebrate Opera-Tober and World Opera Day with an afternoon of beautiful music highlighting the theme of love and betrayal! We are proud to present Tormenta d’amore’s concert, “A Night in Venice.”
Tormenta d’amore is a female Baroque chamber ensemble founded by Ho Eui Holly Bewlay, soprano; Amy Cochrane, soprano; and Bonnie Choi, harpsichord, with featured guests Margaret Leenhouts & Koki Tanaka, violins, and Katie Weissman, cello.
This sublime repertoire of vibrant violin sonatas, glittering coloratura arias, sumptuous love duets, and comical chansons is a musical feast. Delight in the sound of the Baroque period instruments that creates an authentic journey of beauty. Join us as we drift down the Grand Canal of Venice, enjoying the beloved music of Monteverdi, Handel, Vivaldi, and more. Special treats served after the performance!
