The La Costa Canyon Theatre Company is proud to present
an adaptation of Patrick Ness' novel
A Monster Calls
at the David H. Thompson Performing Arts Center
November 30, December 1,2,7,8,9 at 7pm and December 6 at 4pm
Conor (Landon Fris) has the same dream every night, ever since his mother (Joey Amberg) first fell ill, ever since she started treatments that don't quite seem to be working. But tonight is different. Tonight, when he wakes, there's a visitor (Winston Bergseid) at his window. An ancient, elemental - a force of nature. And it wants the most dangerous thing of all from Conor;
It wants the truth.
From the final idea of award-winning author Siobhan Dowd — whose premature death from cancer prevented her from writing it herself — Patrick Ness' haunting and darkly funny novel of mischief, loss, and monsters -both real and imagined- comes alive on the LCC stage.
$1 of every ticket purchased will be donated to the Kesem UCSD & SDSU chapters. Kesem is a nationwide community that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. https://www.kesem.org/
