TIME & PLACE: The MODEL TRAIN DISPLAY will be set up in the Lobby of the Williamson County Archives and Museum (611 West Main Street on the corner of Main Street and Columbia Avenue in Franklin, TN 37064) December 13 From 10 AM until 5 PM December 14 From 11 AM until 5 PM THIS OPERATIONAL N SCALE MODEL TRAIN LAYOUT IS FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Young and old alike will enjoy this opportunity to: Be nostalgic Stop by Watch Ask questions This public exhibit features detailed dioramas of varying themes with operating model trains traveling over 200 feet of trackage. Several of the dioramas, or modules, have won national awards. Our young visitors, or junior engineers, are given the opportunity to take control of a train using a cell phone or tablet. New this year, a complete model Railroad layout will be available for purchase. The layout has been modified and tested by T-Trak members and would be a great purchase for a model train enthusiast, young or old. The 42” by 72” layout comes with a working n scale locomotive, and 10 cars. It has a tunnel, passing siding, 5 industrial sidings, buildings, vehicles, remote side track switches, and 36 feet of mainline. The profits will be used for the Tennessee T-Trak Associates expenses and expansion equipment needed. Also new this year, a mini diorama workshop for children 8 and over.
